Political Science Salaries in Tennessee

Tennessee's politicians are not obligated to make their salaries public. The current Governor (Bill Haslam) eliminated that requirement through a bill on the first day of his first term of office in 2011. The law states that the governor, his or her aides, and members of Tennessee's General Assembly do not have to report their income to the public, although they must report their sources of income.
