Political Science Salaries in Washington

Washington's Office of Financial Management (OFM) releases an annual salary survey listing the salaries of all state employees. In 2010, the top 55 spots on the list were occupied by state university employees. However, according to the News Tribune, one-third of Washington state government employees (or 25 House and five Senate members) requested three percent pay cuts in 2011. This measure was encouraged by a state bill that automatically cut state workers' pay by three percent and urged legislators and other elected officials to request the same pay cut.
